1. Pay out right
2. Pay and Bill your insurance company or Medicare
3. We can bill Medicare or Insurance Company. We would need signed prescription from your Doctor.
WILL YOU ACCEPT MY INSURANCE?
Yes, True American Medical Supplies works with many Health Insurance Companies including Humana,
United Health Care (UHC), BCBS, CIGNA, Care Improvement Plus (CIP) and many more.
WILL MY MEDICAL INSURANCE COVER THE PURCHASE OF A BRACE OR SUPPORT?
Yes depending on your insurance plan you may be eligible to receive a brace or support
for little to no out of pocket cost upon your doctors approval.
WHAT BRACES OR SUPPORTS ARE COVERED BY MY MEDICAL INSURANCE?
Under the Durable Medical Equipment your Medical Insurance will cover medically necessary wrist, ankle, knee, back, neck, and shoulder braces or supports.
DO I NEED MY DOCTORS APPROVAL?
Yes in order for your Medical Insurance to cover the purchase of your brace or support you must first
receive a signed prescription by your doctor. Only your doctor can prescribe your brace or support for you
MY DOCTOR Gave Me a prescription for a back brace NOW WHAT?
Great once your doctor has signed the prescription form you can either Email, Mail or Fax the prescription to us. Once we receive the signed prescription back we will ship out the requested brace or support.
DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR SHIPPING?
No! Shipping is included in the price which means "Your Braces ships for free!" and will arrive at your home in 2-3 days.
I HAVE MEDICARE IS THERE ANY OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES?
If Medicare’s your primary insurance and you are looking to get a brace or support covered you may be responsible for the 20% of the cost under Medicare’s 80/20. If you have a secondary insurance then they would cover the 20%
I HAVE MEDICARE AND I CAN’T AFFORD TO PAY THE 20%:
If you do not have a Medicare supplement policy and are unable to afford your 20% coinsurance there is a hardship letter that you will need to sign stating you are unable to pay the 20%.
HOW WOULD I BILL MEDICARE?
You must use the CMS form for DME reimbursement, which can be found with instructions at
https://www.cms.gov/Medicare/CMS-Forms/CMS-Forms/Downloads/CMS1490S-ENGLISH.pdf.
True Americans Medical Supplies receipt (order confirmation) must be attached which has the correct code for filing.
HOW DO I GET REIMBURSED by Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplemental Plans and Other Insurers?
Contact your insurer to obtain the correct form to request reimbursement. Following these guidelines does not guarantee reimbursement; that is the decision of each insurer.
